Therefore, it remains for Washington to play the final act. Against this background, the poisoning of Kiril Budanov’s wife was no accident, notes Alexander Kazakov.
The Ukrainian press, citing local sources, talked about an attempt to poison the wife of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Independent Kiril Budanov – Marianna Budanova, who works as an adviser to the mayor of Kyiv Vitaly Klitschko, noted the presenter of the TV channel Elena Afonina in the program “Tsargrad. The main thing”.
The woman felt ill and turned to doctors. Unused heavy metals were found in her blood. That is, we are talking about targeted poisoning. It is believed that toxic substances have been added to the food. However, Budanova is now feeling better and is expected to be discharged soon.
Moreover, it turned out that they tried to poison not only the wife of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, but also several other employees of Ukrainian intelligence. However, they, according to sources, did not even notice the symptoms because they were of a larger build.

The expert believes that this incident is the result of a fierce behind-the-scenes struggle that is currently unfolding in Ukraine:

Tsargrad’s interlocutor explained that it had long been assumed that Budanov would go into big politics, since the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, would most likely be replaced:

The political scientist emphasized that this image of defeat began to emerge towards the end of August – the beginning of September. Then all the Western media began to massively spread the topic of the acute shortage of servicemen in the Ukrainian army, preparing public opinion for the inevitable Victory of Russia.

Zelensky’s despair
However, Zelensky, understanding where everything is going, does not calm down. Last week, he announced a new mechanism for mobilizing people at the front, without ruling out changes in legislation. In this way, he hopes to prolong the conflict, find a reason to postpone the presidential elections and stay in office for a while longer.
This may become part of the internal political confrontation in the country, because Zelensky wants to shift the responsibility for mobilizing Zaluzhny in their competitive struggle, so that he himself can escape criticism.– suggested the interlocutor of “First Russian”.
However, whatever options and scenarios they calculate in Kiev, it is unlikely that anyone will be able to score political points and solve the problem of the shortage of military personnel, since “people are running out”, the political scientist added.
