The Unopposed Election of Mayor Radoslav Revanski in the Municipality of Belica

In Belica and the surrounding villages, they now know who will govern them in the next four years. The reason is a precedent related to the local vote – for the first time since the beginning of democracy in our country, the mayor of a municipality together with the acting mayors of all the villages in it are the only candidates before elections. In order to be legally elected, the mayor of Belica Radoslav Revanski and his colleagues must receive at least one valid ballot on October 29, BNT reported.

After only DPS nominated candidates for mayor, Radoslav Revanski is preparing to govern Belica for a third consecutive term. And in the city, this is no surprise to anyone.

Sonia Kuteva: “Very good mayor, Belitsa has completely changed, so it was expected, it was normal for it to turn out that way.”

Yosif Madolev: “He has done a lot of things, and there are still a lot of things to do. The cleanliness, for example, the cleaning of the city of Belitsa itself is not at the required level.”

Radoslav Revanski, mayor of Belitsa municipality: “I continue to upgrade, however immodest it may sound. After the meeting with you, I’m going to see what’s happening with the road to Semkovo and we’re starting new streets in Belitsa and Kraishte.”

The battle in the villages of the municipality, where the mayor is elected, also ended before it started.

Valya Popova, deputy chairman of OIC – Belitsa: “We have 9 villages in which mayors are elected and in all of them 9 are registered, one candidate each and they are the old mayors, the incumbents.”

Radoslav Revanski, mayor of Belica municipality: “We are a team, we work collectively and I have told all my colleagues in the villages that what I do in the municipality, the way I behave with people, I want you to behave in the same way, and if I see someone doing something outside of that policy I’ve had to correct them.”

In Belica, intrigue remains in the battle for the Municipal Council. Four lists will compete for the 13 seats in the local parliament. These are: DPS, GERB, BSP and “Vazrazhdane”.
