The footballers of the Ukrainian team SC Dnipro-1 will probably not remember fondly the rematch of the second preliminary round of the Champions League against the Greek Panathinaikos of Athens. Yesterday’s rematch ended amicably 2:2, but the Ukrainians do not continue in the most prestigious European cup competition, as they lost 1:3 in the first match in Košice. Even before the retaliation itself, information spread from the Dnipro camp that several members of the expedition were suspected of food poisoning. An account on a well-known microblogging network specializing in Ukrainian football – Zorya Londonsk – reported that there were fifteen people, eight of them football players.
The symptoms appeared in the Ukrainians the night before the meeting, the symptoms should also concern the representatives of the club who did not have dinner with the team in the Athens hotel.
