“The Ultimate Guide to Understanding Microscope Parts and Functions”

Microscope as an optical tool that is useful as a tool in seeing and observing objects that are very small in size

GridKids.id – Kids, what comes to your mind when you hear a microscope?

Microscopes are often used by researchers, students, and health workers to see very small objects, such as cells.

With a microscope, we can see the structure of small objects that cannot be seen with the naked eye.

The microscope also has certain parts that are very important.

So, before knowing how to use it, let’s get to know the parts of a microscope as well as explain the function of each part.

Microscope parts and their functions

1. Ocular lens or eyepiece

The lens near the eye magnifies the image of an object.

(image properties: virtual, upright enlarged). In general, the image formed can be magnified up to 6, 10 or 12 times.

2. Microscope tube

The microscope tube functions to transmit light from the objective lens to the ocular lens.
