The Twitch streaming service probably missed the complete source code and other data

Unknown attackers claim that they obtained the complete source code of the streaming platform Twitch, which is especially popular among game streamers. Torrent linking to a total of 125 GB of data posted on an Internet forum, written by Videogamechronicle. According to the server, the published package actually contains Twitch’s internal data.

The company itself has not yet commented on the leak. The videogameschronicle cites an anonymous source from inside Twitch who allegedly confirmed the authenticity of the leaked data. According to him, the leak probably took place this Monday.

UPDATE 17:35Twitch confirmed on his twitter account that he had missed data. However, he has not yet published the extent of the leak or other details, saying that he is analyzing what happened.

In addition to the complete source code of web and mobile applications, the leaked data should also include data on the earnings of professional Twitch users since 2019 or the code of the not yet launched Vapor application, which Twitch, which is owned by Amazon since 2014, develops as a competition for the Steam gaming platform.
