On Monday, the price of natural gas in the Dutch “Title Transfer Facility” (TTF) exchange fell below 40 euros per megawatt hour for the first time since July 2021.

On Monday early afternoon, the price of natural gas on the TTF exchange was 39.65 euros per megawatt hour.
At the beginning of January this year, the price of gas in TTF fell to the level recorded before Russia’s repeated invasion of Ukraine.
Shortly before the Russian invasion of Ukraine at the end of February last year, the price of natural gas was around 88 euros per megawatt hour.
On the other hand, in August, when Russia significantly reduced gas supplies to Europe, the price exceeded 340 euros per megawatt-hour, but on December 1 it had fallen to 140 euros.
