This month is also one of the strongest for strawberry exports, with 80,757 tons in March of last year, the majority sent abroad by road.

The export of fruit and vegetables in the month of March is between 1.2 and 1.3 million tons, 94% of them by road. Along with strawberries and red fruits, which are one of the most exported fruits this month, a wide range of vegetables is sent abroad, such as tomatoes, with 92,940 tons; pepper, with 108,093 tons; lettuce with 102,067 tons and cabbages, with 81,207 tons, according to data from the Department of Customs and Special Taxes processed by Fepex.
