Seven victims Tangerang prison fire still undergoing treatment at the Tangerang Regency General Hospital. The victim also had time to tell the doctor who treated him how to survive the fire.
The story was told by the Head of the Publication and Information Law Installation at the Tangerang District Hospital, Hilwani. The sad story was revealed when the victim poured out her heart to the doctor.
“They have been in there for more than an hour if the story is from a patient they can communicate with,” said Hilwani to reporters, Friday (10/9/2021).
Hilwani also revealed how the victim survived for an hour in the fire. Among them, there are those who cover their heads with wet gloves.
“Some people cover their heads with wet gloves,” he said.
Due to being in the flames of the red rooster for an hour, some of the victims experienced airway trauma. Hilwani also explained what airway trauma is.
“Of these seven, there are approximately 4 to 5 who are severe because they have experienced airway trauma. Airway trauma is burns in the respiratory tract. From loss of protector until swelling,” he said, Friday (10/9).

7 Victims Undergoing Treatment in ICU

The first is Mr. N is 34 years old, the second is Mr. Y is 33 years old, the third is Mr. M is 44 years old, the fourth Mr. I is 27 years old, the fifth is Mr. H is 42 years old, the sixth is Mr. T is 50 years old, and the last one is Mr. S is 35 years old,” explained Hilwani.
