The expansion works of the ‘Y’ arrive with news. The third lane that, along almost five kilometers of the A-66, is being prepared between the Oviedo ring road and the La Fresneda junction will allow the noise generated by traffic to be reduced by more than 15% once the works, in which the Ministry of Infrastructure is investing more than 22 million euros.

García recalled that in 2017 a noise measurement was established that yields a result of 77 decibels when the maximum allowed daytime noise is 65. Since then, he regretted, there have been no interventions in the area despite the mayor’s complaints.
