The theater cycle that will begin on September 4 in the Villa de Veranes, and with which the III Conference of Archeology of Gijón will begin at the same time in the city, it should have been held last Easter in the Roman Baths. Three shows in total: the gestural comedy Lubbert by the Inda Pereda company inspired by Bosco’s ‘El Jardín de las Delicias’, the ‘Nanas de Lorca’ and a recital in which some works by Agustín García Calvo will be reviewed.
His delay in the agenda as well as the change of location is one of the consequences of the coronavirus crisis, the effects of which will also be noticed at the Gijón Archaeological Conference that seek to disseminate the process of romanization of the Northwest peoples after the conquest of Rome. They are organizational changes, fundamentally the capacity reduction, which will make only fifteen people participate in the archaeological itineraries and a score of at the conferences.
To compensate for the loss of participants, the organization has decided to issue online and live the conferences in which you can also participate virtually. The archaeological itineraries, which start on Saturday, September 5 and which will pass through Vigo, Soria, Valladolid and Santander, will have a capacity of fifteen places and participants will only have to pay for hotels and food.
