The temple festival of Trojan Holy Monastery “Assumption of the Virgin”, and today an evening service was held with the funeral procession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This happened on a special platform in the inner courtyard of the monastery, which celebrates its temple holiday tomorrow, reported the press center of the Lovech region.

This is the most important holiday for the holy Trojan monastery, which always gathers numerous believers in the power of the miraculous icon “Holy Mother of God Three-armed”. “Her presence in the monastery is a great mercy of God to our people, which gives us faith and hope in the face of all vicissitudes in our long history,” recalled the mayor of Lovech.

Among the guests tomorrow will be part of the Holy Synod, a minister and other officials.

The climax will be on August 15th at 11:00 a.m. when it departs the procession with the miraculous icon of the Holy Mother of God “Troeruchitsa” from the temple to the chapel, where the first miracle happened.

In the morning at 7 o’clock there will be a festive midnight service with the litany of the Abbess, a festive matins at 8 a.m., a festive bishop’s holy liturgy at 9 a.m., as well as a festive vespers with an akathist of the Assumption at 6 p.m.

On August 16 (Wednesday) at 5:00 p.m., there will be Vespers, and at 6:00 p.m. – the Founder’s memorial service (a prayer commemoration for all the abbots, brothers and donors of the holy monastery who presented themselves in Christ).
