The Sytjust decrees 72 hours of renewable strike from this Monday.

The National Executive Office (BEN) of the Union of Justice Workers (SYTJUST) decreed 72 hours of renewable strike covering Monday 27, Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 July 2020.

Justice workers remind the State of Senegal of its obligation to ensure the preservation of their acquired rights through decrees duly signed by the President of the Republic, after consensus between the Government and SYTJUST.

Unfortunately, in June 2020, the Minister of Justice addressed to the President of the Republic three notes in the direction of unilaterally revising, on some decrees, certain provisions having been the subject of agreement between the State and the SYTJUST.

This calling into question of the rights of justice workers, creates unprecedented legal insecurity, violates the principle of the continuity of the State, removes the Government from its obligation to respect its commitments resulting from collective negotiations and undermines the foundations of Rule of law.

For the rest, it is a blow to the credibility and skills of members of the Government and technical services who took part in the preparation of these decrees.

So many reasons why justice workers continue to fight to put an end to this injustice.
