Dakar, July 16 (APS) – The Swiss ambassador to Senegal, Marion Weichelt Krupsski, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad on Wednesday to explain the “unacceptable character” of words of her husband contained in an article published in the Swiss press.
In a statement received Thursday at the APS, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that “the diplomat was clearly informed of the unacceptable nature of the words of his spouse,” which constitute “a flagrant violation of the basic principles of courtesy and non interference in the internal affairs “of the sending State.
According to the press release, these principles “must guide, on a daily basis, and in all circumstances, the behavior of a Head of a diplomatic post and members of his family, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Vienna Convention of 18 April 1961 on relations diplomatic “.
The press release notes that it was therefore “indicated to the Ambassador that such deviations cannot be tolerated in the future”.
