In keeping with tradition, the Swedish royal family has gathered on the Swedish island of Öland, where they have, among other things, celebrated Crown Princess Victoria’s birthday on 14 July.
Every year is celebrated the big day on Öland in Sweden in a magnificent way. The date has been named Victoria Day, and ever since the heir to the throne was two years old, the celebration has taken place.
– I have spent all my summers on Öland, so therefore it is close to my heart, she said in an interview with Swedish Aftonbladet.
In the same interview, the Crown Princess can inform that it is on Öland that she will be all summer.

Long-awaited reunion
However, she will not spend the summer there on her own as the entire royal family has kept the Crown Princess in company.
On Instagram and their official website, the Swedish royal family shares a picture where the whole family smiles big wearing summer clothes. The picture is snapped at Solliden on Öland.
Below the picture is the Swedish royal family with a summer greeting to the people:
«Together on Öland again! A long-awaited reunion for the royal family who, after a long time on different sides, can now finally gather on the “island of the sun and the winds”. We wish everyone a continued good summer. “
The picture shows Crown Princess Victoria with her husband Prince Daniel, and their two children Estelle and Oscar.
Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia are also pictured with their children Alexander and Gabriel along with a new addition to the royal family.
The couple welcomed their son Julian in March, who is participating in the festivities on Öland for the first time.
Princess Madeleine, Christopher O’Neill and their children Leonore, Nicolas and Adrienne are also in the picture.
Two of the family’s dogs are also included in the idyllic picture.

Victoria Day
On this year’s 44th Victoria Day, a party was held on Öland in Sweden, and the royal family gathered to celebrate the Crown Princess at Solliden Castle.
Victoria Day marks Crown Princess Victoria’s birthday on July 14, and is considered an official flag day in Sweden. On that occasion, a folk festival was held on the royal family’s holiday island.
This year, however, the celebration was a little different due to strict coronary restrictions.
