The Supreme Court inadmits the appeals of PP and Vox against the presence of Iglesias in the CNI control commission | Courts

The Supreme Court has decided to deny the appeals that both the Popular Party as several deputies of Vox filed against the inclusion of the second vice president of the Government, Pablo Iglesias, in the governmental Commission that interacts with the National Intelligence Center. The judges understand that neither of the two is entitled to challenge this agreement and explains that allowing it would be as much as letting them exercise a “disguised popular accusation.”

The two parties brought before the contentious chamber the Royal Decree of last February that established the composition of the Government Delegated Commissions and that in its article 4.2 it included, among others, the second vice president of the executive as one of the senior officials who could attend the meetings.

The Popular Party as a formation and the 52 deputies of Vox headed by Santiago Abascal went to the third chamber of the Supreme Court and now the magistrates deny their objections, understanding that they are not entitled to appeal.

For the magistrates, allowing them to do so “because of the relationship between the ends that the political parties legitimately pursue. according to your ideology or program of action and the sector or political, social or economic field on which that action produces effects “would be as much as” recognizing them a kind of covert popular action, which is not attributed by our legal system. “
