Four playoff games were played this Sunday in the NBA, all starting series. In the first of them, the Miami Heat beat the Atlanta Hawks 115-91 at home to go 1-0 in the Eastern Conference, of which they were the best team in the regular phase.
Duncan Robinson was the great figure of the Miami team contributing 27 points, including eight triples in nine attempts. He was seconded by Jimmy Butler with 21 points, while on the other side Trae Young was annulled, who barely contributed eight points.
Later and also in the East, the Boston Celtics defeated the Brooklyn Nets 115-114 at home with a double in the hour by Jayson Tatum, in a process that was a faithful reflection of the parity that the series of the second promises facing the seventh with field advantage.
Tatum contributed 31 points including that game-winning shot to lead the Boston team’s offense, while on the other side the best was Kyrie Irving, who scored 18 of his 39 points in the last guy, including the one that allowed his team to pass 12 seconds from closing.
Giannis Antetokounmpo had 27 points and 16 rebounds for the Milwaukee Bucks to win over the Chicago Bulls 93-86 at home, in the duel of the third in the East against the sixth. The last champions are favorites against a historic franchise that had not played in the postseason for five seasons.
Finally, the Phoenix Suns achieved a predictable win over the New Orleans Pelicans in the West. The first of the regular phase (64-18 score) won the eighth 110-99 with a great performance by Chris Paul, who closed his scoresheet with 30 points and 10 assists. He was seconded by Devin Booker with 25 points and DeAndre Ayton with 21. For the loser, CJ McCollum scored 25.
