KOMPAS.com – A man in Kulon Progo, In Yogyakartanamed Nurohman (33), works for a Singaporean company by managing dozens of servers in various countries.

Thanks to his hard work, he was able to pay off his parents’ debt and repair his house.

Then how can this man work in a Singapore company to manage dozens of servers in various countries?

Nurohman said that he was initially able to manage dozens of servers starting with his acquaintance with a Singaporean of Malaysian blood named Samuel in 2014.

At that time, said Nur, he only worked as a freelance to Samuel. After the meeting continued on various projects Internet of Things (IoT) in several countries, especially Singapore.

Then, continued Nur, he is trusted to control hardware and software requirements, ensuring all devices are installed. All the work is done remotely. It controls remote.

After that, Nur then joined Samuel in the company Consap Pte Ltd with its head office in Singapore. Business related Internet of Things (IoT).

At that company, Nur got a position as engineering maintenance in that company. Now, it works remotely managing more than 50 servers in different countries.

The company where Nur works is an IT company that focuses on engineering robotics and automation.

The company headquartered in Singapore handles IoT, including smart homes, smart hotels, and smart airports.

IoT is a network between devices and equipment that are connected to each other and operate automatically without direct human intervention.

IoT requires a lot of data for everything to run normally, such as changes in temperature, sound, touch, and so on. The data is stored in the cloud data center.

Sensors in IoT devices can recognize all that data. Humans control several devices remotely via internet connection according to the needs of humans themselves.

“For example, this lamp can change color without human touch. We give the order then the light changes color. Voice data, color data, many other data are stored in the server. Through an internet connection, it can operate,” said Nur.

Pay parents

From the results of his work, Nur was able to pay the debts of his parents, Sanikem (56) at the bank. His parents were willing to borrow from the bank with land and house as collateral just to reveal the death of Nurohman’s younger brother, Nurohim, in 2014.

“About Ro 60 million. This land is guaranteed,” said the son of the Sunardi and Sanikem couple.

“Until now (the debt) has not been paid off,” he continued.

Fix house

Not only that, from his work at the Singapore company, Nurohman was also able to repair his house.

The house that was once gloomy because it had big walls or woven bamboo, has now turned into a brick house, although only partially and has not been plastered and painted.

However, some of the houses that were repaired have assistance from the government for poor families through the BPSP program from the Ministry of Public Works in 2020.

“The money was added by Nur. If I can’t afford it,” said Nurohman’s mother, Sanikem.
