Reported detik JatimOne of the reasons the residents left the village was the difficulty of access. Here is the short story.

No houses were found along the road to the village of Sumbulan. There are only rice paddies accompanied by several places for water sources.

The atmosphere is still fresh

Even though it is no longer inhabited, the atmosphere of Kampung Sumbulan is cool as there are still many shady trees. A local resident who works as a farmer still visits Sumbulan often. The goal is to irrigate the fields while taking care of the village.

“I want to take care and protect the Sumbulan area in the best possible way. Even my father, Mbah Salamun, goes there often even though he no longer lives there,” said Sumarno, quoted by detikcom, on Saturday (1/10/2022) .
