“As parents, we are very surprised and proud, because we can decorate the Rp 75,000 denomination, as a sign of commemorating the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Ananda’s parents, Moris Saubaki accompanied by his wife, Telly Saubaki-Saudila, Tuesday, August 18, 2020.

According to Telly, this money will become historical evidence from generation to generation because Timorese children wear traditional Rote clothes. “I am very happy and very proud,” he told Time.
Furthermore, Telly admitted that previously she did not think that her child’s photo would adorn the special money. What he remembered, in the last 2019 period, Bank Indonesia once asked to send a photo of his child dressed in traditional clothes.
“After being asked, I immediately sent a photo of my child. Incidentally it was stored on the cellphone,” said Telly.
At that time, Telly said that she did not know what the photo would be used for. It was only recently discovered that the photo was needed to catch those who passed the custom clothing selection. “It turns out that Ananda was one of those chosen to represent NTT, especially from the BI Representative Office in East Nusa Tenggara.”
After being officially elected, said Telly, a team from Perum Peruri I came to Kupang to hold a photo shoot on August 7, 2019. “Today I just found out, it turns out that the photo a year ago was to fill in the picture of the 75th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence. This will be an extraordinary history,” he said.
