TEMPO.CO, Moscow -Many of you are familiar with game stacking blocks aka Tetris, a puzzle game created by original Alexey Pajitnov Uni Soviet.

This game designed by computer engineers from the Soviet Union was launched on June 6, 1984. However, do you know the story behind this one of the most popular games in the world?

Citing pages Tetrisit is stated that at first, this game was used to test the ability of a computer called Electronika 60. Pajitnov stated that he was inspired to make this block game because of the Pentomino game he played as a child.

It names this game with Tetris because it is a combination of two things, namely “tetra” and “tennis”.

Furthermore, Pajitnov was urged by many parties to release the Tetris game on a popular device, namely the IBM PC.

Pajitnov finally did the project and together with Valdin Gerasimov he made Tetris for IBM PC devices. Tetris for the IBM PC was finally released in 1986. After being released on the IBM PC, Tetris was successful and popular among PC users.

Finally, in 1988, Tetris expanded beyond the fence Uni Soviet and became a commercial PC game in the UK and the US. Since then, Tetris has continued to grow and expand, including in Indonesia.
