The stock market turns green – oil prices are skyrocketing

The Oslo Stock Exchange has turned green throughout the day.

At lunchtime, the main index stands at 796.44, up 0.21 per cent, and shares so far have traded for NOK 1.5 billion.

Brent oil is up 0.7 percent on Monday morning to $ 40.96 a barrel, while WTI oil climbs 0.9 percent to $ 38.50 a barrel.

In comparison, a barrel of North Sea oil was traded for $ 40.74 a barrel at the close of the Oslo Stock Exchange on Friday.
