The State of Artistic Variety Programs in Lebanon Amid Television Station Crisis

Despite the crisis of television stations, the broadcast of artistic variety programs in Lebanon did not stop. As it fought a struggle for survival, under one slogan, “a dialogue with those who attended”, especially since most of them are free, and the guests do not receive any financial allowance.
The season of the “Hadith al-Balad” program was not successful, and the dialogues did not record any progress or views, due to the repetition and lack of renewal of the program’s style, style, and questions, leading to the weak attempts of presenter Mona Abu Hamza to deviate from tradition. Therefore, the program was absent from the first ranks for this season, and it did not achieve anything new that would keep it within the circle for the next season. At the same time, MTV is silent about the possibility of renewing it for another season, beginning next fall.
MTV broadcasts the last episode of “Katir Hal Qedd” program, presented by comedian Hisham Haddad, in an interview with singer Assi El-Hillani. An attempt to take advantage of the wedding of Al-Hillani’s daughter, Marita, which gained a high follow-up on social media last week, to learn about Al-Hellani’s new song, which was released a month ago by Rotana.
Hisham Haddad’s “Too Much This Has Been” season achieves the same success that it won on the station that was launched by LBCI, and we can call it a lackluster season, after Haddad turned into an executive producer for his program, and dispensed with the production company that for years provided content that built the fame of the comedian and the program team. While the information confirms that a new season with “MTV” will return at the beginning of next fall, with some changes that will occur in the paragraphs.
The Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International (LBCI) relied on a set of public relations to receive the guests of “The Unknown”. It is clear that this program will continue for the next season, according to sources from inside the station, provided that some changes occur to it, but the work team remains within the institution, and will try to develop new ideas to produce dialogue episodes that depend primarily on the excitement and controversy raised by the preparation team, and adopted by the presenter away from Backgrounds that can contribute useful information. But all this does not happen, and the work continues at the pace of suspense and enthusiasm, broadcasting comparisons between artists, and the guest’s opinion of a colleague or a series just to create confusion.
The Stage program by Carla Haddad stops after a season that presented the lives of artists from the beautiful time. The Lebanese “Al-Jadeed” station was not certain about the possibility of renewing the “Book of Fame” program, which ends its second season this week. The program achieves a high viewership rate on alternative sites, and the reason is the way the provocative questions are asked, as they interfere in the personal affairs of the guest, who records bold responses.

Programs for platforms operating from Lebanon are also advancing, which are talk shows that rely on provoking controversy and opening a bazaar for comparisons between politicians or artists, including the programs of the “Voice of Beirut International” platform, which achieve high circulation and viewing rates, as well as the “Show the Story” program by Rabia Al-Zayyat, which Displayed on a Syrian platform and station.
