Then the announced snow front will be relevant in the region, said a spokesman for the German Weather Service on Saturday morning. The temperatures drop accordingly to minus 11 degrees. For Sunday, five to ten centimeters of fresh snow are expected. A strong easterly wind with up to 60 kilometers per hour could bring significant snow drifts with it, it said.

Ministry: Brandenburgers should stay at home
The Brandenburg Interior Ministry called for people to stay at home if possible. Extreme slipperiness can be expected on the roads. “In order to avoid accidents, it is therefore advisable to avoid unnecessary journeys and corridors and to stay at home if possible,” said ministry spokesman Martin Burmeister on Friday.
Brandenburg’s fire brigades and control centers are fully operational and prepared for any extreme weather, the spokesman said. If necessary, disaster control measures could be directed at any time via the coordination center in the Ministry of the Interior.
