In its latest 31st series, the cult American series Simpson has prepared a pleasant surprise for all Czech fans of trains and trams. In the episode, which was broadcast in the Czech premiere by Prima Cool television a few days ago (in the USA, the part premiered in November 2019), the famous “yellow family” took the Škoda 10T tram.

However, the Czech track in the series is much richer. During its existence, the creators of the famous animated sitcom have prepared several allusions to the Czechia and Czechoslovakia for domestic viewers.
The first mention came in 1991 in the third series of the series. In the episode called U fiery Vočka, Aunt Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson’s Patty can’t shave her legs due to the fact that she fails to plug the machine into “terrible Czechoslovak sockets”.

Another reference to the Czechia was prepared by Šáša Krusta. In witch work number XVII, he tells the story of a Prague golem. In this work, the famous golem will also appear and help Krusty to eliminate dissatisfied spectators during his performance.
Other “Czech notches” include a performance by the Oscar-winning singer Markéta Irglová. This also includes the primacy of being the only Czech who has ever appeared in a famous series.
