Dadonov had previously only represented the Florida Panthers in the NHL, but on Thursday signed a three-year contract with the Senators for a total of $ 15 million (€ 12.8 million).
In the first year of the contract, the hockey player will be entitled to 3.5 million dollars (2.9 million euros), in the second year the striker will earn five million dollars (4.27 million euros), and in the 2022/23 season he will be entitled to 6.5 million dollars (5 .55 million).
Last season, he entered the field of the Panthers in 69 regular championship games and was the fourth most successful hockey player in the club with 47 points (25 + 22). With 25 goals scored, he was the second-best sniper for the Panthers, while 11 of the “goals” were the best among all Florida team hockey players.
Dadonov played in the Panthers for six seasons. The 71st choice of the 2007 draw During his career, the NHL played 281 games, in which he accumulated 202 points (91 + 111). Significantly, he is only one of 17 hockey players who have managed to cross the 200 points limit in the “Panthers” team. He is also only one of three who has managed to do so in less than 300 games.
In the 2013/14 season, he won the world championship together with the Russian national team, but previously played in the Russian youth national team in his career.
Dadonov made his NHL debut in the 2009/10 season, but returned to the Continental Hockey League in North America three years later, where he was represented by Donetsk’s Donetsk for two seasons, and then spent three more years at the St. Petersburg SKA, winning the Gagarin Cup twice.
