The Secretary of Education of Yucatan, Liborio Vidal Aguilar, donated the monthly amount of his salary to Club Especial Ayelem AC, an institution founded 25 years ago to support children and adolescents with some type of intellectual disability for their inclusion. social, labor and artistic.
Before mothers and fathers of the young people who make up the association, the head of the Segey explained that, 30 years ago, when he was mayor of Valladolid, he began to donate his full salary to various causes, especially those of the most vulnerable sectors.
He said that a few years ago, as a federal deputy, he issued a call and with the follow-up of a Committee, he decided to do it properly, and in this way, the social cause that most required the donation was supported monthly, from children with cancer, people with addictions, homes for the elderly, environmental issues and environmental care, among others.
The official highlighted the important role of civil associations in the state of Yucatan, as well as Yucatecan society in general, for always demonstrating willingness and solidarity to help those who need it most.
It is not something new that we do, I reiterate, we have been doing it for 30 years, always supporting and serving everyone, from any trench we have been serving society, he added.
Vidal Aguilar shared that this action is possible because he has a family business, which allows him to donate his monthly salary in full, this time as Secretary of Education, in the amount of $75,801.00
Vidal Aguilar highlighted the commitment and effort in favor of social causes, congratulating those who contribute to the integral and social development of people with intellectual disabilities.
During her message, the president of the Ayelem Special Club, Nelly Cantón Méndez, thanked the official for his support towards the association, since with the resource it will be possible to continue with the construction of the shelter located to the west of the Yucatecan capital.
In the same way, Cantón Méndez, highlighted the work carried out by the 31 young people who belong to the association, who make horchata, tamarind, hibiscus, hibiscus sweets and jams, under the El Faisán brand, which they sell for the benefit of the youths.
They accompanied the Secretary of Education, Cesar Palma Vargas, representative of the students and Norma Galmich Castro, representative of parents.
