“The Script Continues Without Guitarist Mark Sheehan Who Died in April” – Pinkpop Performance and Tour with P!NK

The Script continues to exist without guitarist Mark Sheehan, who died in April. The remaining two members, vocalist Danny O’Donoghue and drummer Glen Power, will resume performances next week. That means that the group will also come to Pinkpop in mid-June.

“Mark would like us to continue, and that is what we are going to do,” The Script reports on its own website. The first two performances, next week in Horwich, UK, will be dedicated to Sheehan. The guitarist died in mid-April after a short illness. For many, the news came unexpectedly.

The Script will support P!NK in the coming months. The performance at Pinkpop on June 17 is the men’s first own show. The only other festival appearance is in July at the Meo Mares Vivas Festival in Portugal.

Over the years, the group has achieved various successes in the Netherlands. Among other Hall Of Fame, Superheroes in Rain became big hits.
