The former Minister of Defense in our country Nikolay Nenchev announced that the actions and words of the current such Stefan Yanev are monitored and reported to the NATO leadership.
“This provocation by our minister is already on the desk of Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. I assume that once again they are puzzled by what is happening in Bulgaria,” he said.
Nenchev described Yanev’s visit to the anti-NATO demonstrators as disturbing.
“This is a very serious provocation in the first place. This speaks of the lack of statehood, because Bulgaria is a parliamentary republic by virtue of the constitution and it has chosen its orientation.
“When the defense minister says one thing, the foreign minister says another, and the prime minister disputes the words and claims that it is a personal position that does not concern the cabinet, it is strange.”
