The San Francisco school starts the solidarity campaign “Challenge 2.0” to donate food

Last year the campaign became a real success. At that time, the purpose had been set to gather a ton of food, but the high involvement shown both from inside and outside the school led to more than four tons of food that was distributed among different groups from Vilagarcia.

With the intention of pressing solidarity awareness again, this year’s goal has been set at two tons. For this, and also counting on the collaboration of Caritas Interparochial of Arousa, the dynamics to be developed will follow the same strategy as in the first edition.

Last week the collection among the families of the center focused on rice and pasta. This week the donations focus on pulses and flour. From November 22 to 26, collaboration is requested in the form of preserves and oil, to end with a week dedicated to breakfast and Christmas sweets.

Besides, also The activity that was so successful last year at the Arousa Shopping Center is being considered and in which you could participate with the purchase of bags already made at a reasonable price.
