Pontevedra has been the first city council in Spain to carry out this type of technical safety inspections in the fair attractions. They have been practiced in the city of Lérez for more than 15 years and, although it may seem incredible, there is no state law that requires them.
Manuel Piñeiro, a technician from the Enmacosa company in charge of inspections, explains that, once the technical documentation of the installation checked and that the insurance policy, a complete structural review: mounting, supports, electrical and hydraulic installation, spacers, anchors, clips and platforms, making special emphasis on the elements that are assembled and disassembled on each occasion.
The showmen they are aware that they must pass these inspections if they want to work in Pontevedra. They welcome them with good pleasure since it is beneficial for them that users feel safe when it comes to getting on their attractions that this year will be the same than those of previous years, also maintaining their rates.
They recognize that The Peregrina Festivities are the best in Galicia for them, along with those of Santiago de Compostela. They do not know what the main reason is, but they agree that concerts like Beret’s this year are good for your business as attract many young people, which are, in short, those who spend the most money on attractions.
