The Russians fired on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant on August 11

Ten “arrivals” are reported.

On the afternoon of Thursday, August 11, the Russian invaders fired again Zaporozhye NPP and areas near the nuclear facility.

This is reported in Telegram “Energoatom“.

“Today, August 11, the Russians once again shelled the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, the largest in Ukraine and Europe. Five “arrivals” were recorded in the area of the plant’s commandant’s office – right next to the welding site and the storage of radiation sources. Grass caught fire in a small area, but, to Luckily no one was hurt,” the statement said.

However, as noted, the enemy did not stop there.

“Another five” arrivals “occurred in the area of the fire station, which is located near the ZNPP. As a result of the shelling at the station, it was not possible to carry out a” shift change “in time. After all, for the safety of the nuclear workers, the buses with the personnel of the next shift were turned back to Energodar. Until the situation finally normalizes , the work will be continued by the workers of the previous shift,” the company said.

Energoatom assured that the situation at the station is now under control.

“The information, which was instantly dispersed in enemy publics, that the staff allegedly leaves the station in a panic, is fake and manipulative. This is also a weapon from which the Russians are trying to destroy the ZNPP, so trust only official sources,” the company stressed.

Russian propagandists reportedthat the second power unit of the Zaporozhye NPP is allegedly on fire.

As of 17:00, the radiation background at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is 11-12 microR/h, which corresponds to natural norms, Energoatom noted.

“There is no fire, including at the 2nd power unit of the ZNPP, which the occupying public and Russian media write about,” the report says.

Shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and Energodar

Recall, August 5 and 6 Russian invaders fired at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and residential areas of Energodar.

The invaders made a military warehouse at the ZNPP and hide heavy artillery between atomic blocks. The Russian side stated that the station was mined and could be blown up.

Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Mariano Grossi said that The shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant increases the risk of a nuclear catastrophe. He called on all parties to the conflict to exercise maximum restraint near the nuclear site.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres called for the International Atomic Energy Agency to have access to the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant “to provide technical support for nuclear safety.”

According to experts, as long as the International Nuclear Energy Agency (IAEA) is dominated by Russians, it is impossible to expect normalization of the situation at the captured Zaporozhye NPP.
