The retiree asks for help after spending all of her life savings rescuing her newly adopted dog from a shelter

Tide had a very difficult journey, being abused and living in a shelter. This summer, she finally got a chance to break through. He was adopted by a woman who promised to give him the future he deserves. Unfortunately, a month later, the dog became seriously ill.

Tide’s story is heartbreaking. The six-year-old was rescued by the Scottish SPCA by a former squatter. The couple formed a good bond right away, but just a month after moving into their new home, Tide started showing troubling symptoms.

The vet diagnosed Tide with Addison’s disease. Addison’s disease is a condition in which the adrenal glands do not secrete enough corticosteroids. The dog’s system is damaged, which can lead to death. Tide has received shock treatment, but will also need medication for life.

Margaret spent all of her savings to save her faithful companion’s life and had to struggle to pay for the rest of the protocol.

The young woman explained that Margaret could use 115 euros a month of her pension to pay for Tide’s medicines. But still it would not be enough. So she started a GoFundMe fundraiser to complement it.

The goal was to reach 2,300 euros in donations. Fortunately, this sum has already been raised thanks to internet users who have been touched by its story.
