After information circulated that the accounts that Facebook and Instagram had suspended for President Donald Trump were active, the company clarified that the president still cannot publish in them.
“There has been no change in the status of the president’s Facebook and Instagram accounts,” Andy Stone, a Facebook spokesman, wrote on Twitter.
“The indefinite block we put on the possibility of publishing entries from those accounts is still in effect and there are no plans to lift it,” he added.
Social networks, which belong to the firm led by Mark Zuckerberg, vetoed the president on January 7, hours after a group of his followers stormed the headquarters of Congress in Washington.
