The replacement of the board of directors of public broadcasting is proceeding at an unprecedented speed.
The Korea Communications Commission (KCC) completed the personnel appointments for the vacant KBS director and MBC director visiting Jin today (9th).
It is expected that additional opposition directors will be dismissed next week, and sooner or later, the public broadcasting board will change to a passport advantage.

The Korea Communications Commission voted on the recommendation and appointment of the vacant public broadcasting director.
For the position of former KBS board member Yoon Seok-nyeon, I recommended Suh Ki-seok, a former judge appointed as a Constitutional Court judge by the Park Geun-hye administration.
Lim Jeong-hwan, who retired on the 7th, was replaced by Cha Ki-hwan, who became a director during the Lee Myung-bak administration.
The agenda was handled with the consent of only two passport directors.
Kim Hyun, the only opposition figure in the current ‘three-person system’ KCC, refused to attend the meeting, raising procedural issues with the recommendation of a substitute director.

The Korea Communications Commission plans to process the dismissal proposals for KBS Chairman Young-jin Nam, Bang Jin-jin Kwon Tae-seon, and Director Kim Ki-joong at a plenary meeting on the 16th after going through hearing procedures.

KBS and the opposition directors of the visiting team took a joint response.
The Korea Communications Commission’s promotion of dismissal of directors was defined as suppression of public broadcasting and demanded that it be stopped immediately.

On the other hand, the Board of Audit and Inspection, which is auditing the MBC visitors, handed over the investigative reference materials on Chairman Kwon Tae-seon to the prosecution, and there are observations that the prosecution’s investigation into the visitors is also imminent.
