The Municipal Sports Institute (IMD) has already opened the registration period to be part of the Municipal Paddle League, a sporting event that will be held on the slopes of the El Ejido Sports Pavilion, starting on March 22 and the end date of which is scheduled for the end of April.
This great date will be played in three categories, male, female and mixed within which couples can register at an advanced or promotion level. In addition, it will be carried out in compliance with all the requirements regarding health security against COVID-19. Therefore, the players must sign the Responsible Declaration, which commits them to comply with a series of regulations related to this matter.
In this regard, the Councilor for Sports of the El Ejido City Council, María José Martín, has said that “the participants must scrupulously comply with all the criteria established in this matter, so that they must access the facilities with a mask and after having previously used the hydroalcoholic gel, they will not be able to arrive more than 10 in advance. minutes prior to the start of the match, they must change their clothes at home and the presence of the public during the matches will be prohibited “.
The games will be played during the week in the afternoon-evening hours, and matches can be played on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings, if the competition so requires.
These will be played in two sets, the pair that first wins six games with a minimum of two advantage will score the set, if there is a tie at six games, a tie break will be applied. After the dispute of the two sets, if the final result is 1 to 1, a final tie-break will be held, which will be won by the first couple that reaches 7 points, always with a difference of two. This tie-break will begin by taking out the player whose responsibility it is to do so in the order followed during the match.
It should be noted that all registered couples will receive two sports polo shirts, one for each member of the team, and the two couples classified in first, second and third place in each category and level will receive a trophy.
