The reduction of US troops in Germany has its logic

The Pentagon wants to withdraw 9500 soldiers from Germany, but says nothing about Berlin. The Germans are annoyed, but a deduction would be logical.

Who is still wondering about anything coming from Washington these days? Everything is possible, but nothing is fixed. Donald Trump orders the Pentagon to work out plans to bring American troops home from abroad. That’s good and right, Trump has promised his voters to cut back the United States’ military engagement in the world. Obviously, the Department of Defense took a close look at Germany, where 34,500 US soldiers are currently stationed; at the height of the Cold War in the 1960s, there were still 274,000 soldiers. In its inventory, the Pentagon concludes that 9,500 soldiers can be withdrawn from Germany or even relocated.
