The prototype of the spacecraft “Starship” of the American company “SpaceEx”, intended for a mission to Mars, crashed again on landing, world agencies reported.
The live broadcast took place on the company’s YouTube channel. Starship SN-11 launched in the Boca Chica area of Texas and rose to a height of 10 kilometers. It was planned to descend to the site near the launch complex. The tests were conducted in thick fog.
During a similar test in December 2020 and in February this year, the prototypes exploded in contact with the site. Earlier this month, the ship managed to land vertically, but exploded a few minutes later.
“Starship” is a rocket with a height of 120 meters and a payload of 100 tons, which is designed for manned flights to the moon and Mars. It belongs to the new generation of heavy-launch spacecraft “SpaceX”, which can be used repeatedly.
