At the meeting, Mr. Robert Helms, Member of the Board of Directors of CIP Group, said that CIP is one of the world’s leading offshore wind power developers (DGNK) and global fund managers headquartered in Denmark. Circuit.

Currently, CIP has developed and managed 50GW, equivalent to 28 billion USD in major markets such as the US, UK, Germany… and plans to invest more than 110 billion USD in the field of renewable energy. ) until 2030.

In Vietnam, CIP has established a joint venture company and 2 representative offices to research and develop GNK projects, including the 3.5GW La Gan GNK Project in Binh Thuan province with an estimated total investment of 10 million VND. .5 billion USD.

Mr. Ian Hatton, Chairman of EE Group, said that EE is a British multi-industry group operating in the field of marine natural resource exploitation and energy development.

In Vietnam, EE has cooperated with Societe Generale (France), Vestas (Denmark), ODE (UK) to develop the Thang Long Wind Complex in Binh Thuan province with 2 component projects to produce and export energy. amount of hydrogen from water electrolysis, total capacity of 2,000MW, total investment of 5 billion USD.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the group’s effective business activities in recent times, including offshore wind power development projects in Vietnam; believes that CIP and EE have experience and capacity in the field of renewable energy, especially offshore wind power and new energy, which is very suitable for Vietnam’s policies and development potential in this field.

The Prime Minister said that since COP26 until now, Vietnam has comprehensively implemented many measures to implement its commitments such as: developing plans and organizing the implementation of the Strategy to respond to climate change, Green growth strategy, Power Plan VIII, developing the renewable energy industry, announcing the Implementation Plan and Resource Mobilization Plan for JETP implementation, building institutions in the direction of supporting energy development renewable energy…

According to the Prime Minister, Vietnam’s development strategy in the coming period focuses on promoting the completion of strategic infrastructure, green energy conversion, renewable energy, digital transformation…, towards reality. target carbon neutrality by 2050 and develop a green, sustainable economy.
