The Primate of Poland after the coronavirus test. There are results

The Polish Primate, Archbishop Wojciech Polak, has a false result of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus test – informed the Archdiocese of Gniezno. The metropolitan of Gniezno underwent an examination in connection with the end of quarantine.

In a statement published on social media, the Archdiocese of Gniezno informed that Polish Primate, Archbishop Wojciech Polak, received a false result of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus test.

“The metropolitan of Gniezno underwent an examination on Tuesday, October 20 due to the end of quarantine” – underlined.

The Primate thanked for all the words of support and called for “responsibility, solidarity and mutual care in this difficult and so painful time for many people”. He also assured us of “praying for the dead, the infected, and also for those who care for them tirelessly.”

Primate Polak was quarantined after tests for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus gave a positive result in Bp. senior Bogdan Wojtuś, retired auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Gniezno.

Bishop Wojtuś was hospitalized from Saturday. On Tuesday, the Archdiocese of Gniezno informed about the bishop’s death. He was 83 years old. The date of the funeral is not known yet.
