The rainbow flag symbolizes the LGBT community. The deputies of the Left dressed and stood on the Sejm benches so that they resembled the colors on the rainbow flag.
Among the people dressed in colorful, there are members of the Left, incl. Wanda Nowicka, Magdalena Biejat, Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus and Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, as well as Włodzimierz Czarzasty. Some also wore rainbow colored masks.
“The situation has already been commented on by the MP of Solidarna Polska, Mariusz Kałużny. Pajacowania continued. The members of the Left wore rainbow-colored clothes and put on rainbow masks. Something went wrong. They can destroy the seriousness of the state, they can shame!” – he wrote on Twitter.
Before the President’s swearing-in, female parliamentarians posed for photos with the rainbow flag in front of the Seym, also wearing the colors of the rainbow themselves.
During the swearing-in of President Andrzej Duda, some opposition MPs also held the constitution in their hands. There was also a banner with the words “Krzywoprzyżca”, which Klaudia Jachira from the Civic Coalition was holding above her head.
The parliamentary benches in which opposition deputies should sit were empty.
Andrzej Duda began his second term as president of the Republic of Poland today, by submitting shortly after 10) an oath in the plenary chamber of the Sejm during the session of the National Assembly.
– More than 20 million voters took part in the elections. This is a great victory for Polish democracy, said the president after being sworn in.
