UZBEKISTAN, the President of Uzbekistan took part in the “Central Asia – EU” summit and received the President of the European Council in Tashkent.
On 27 October, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, went on a working visit to Astana to attend the first meeting of the heads of state in the format “Central Asia – European Union”.
The event was supposed to bring together the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the leaders of the countries of Central Asia.
On the agenda, the prospects for the development of political dialogue, the expansion of interregional interaction, the intensification of commercial and economic cooperation and cultural and humanitarian exchanges were discussed.
On the evening of the same day, the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, arrived in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan – European talks at the highest level were held on 28 October. A wide range of bilateral cooperation and multilateral interaction issues between Uzbekistan and the European Union were discussed.
The distinguished guest also visited the city of Samarkand during his stay in Uzbekistan.
