The last day of the year ended with a rise in the positivity rate in the Rhône department to 5,3 % while 9 386 people got tested on New Years Eve. The first weekend of 2021 also ended with a rise in hospitalizations with 1 026 patients hospitalized this Sunday, January 3 ( + 8 these last 24 hours) of which 129 in intensive care units ( + 1 ).
In the last 24 hours, 14 new Covid + patients were admitted to hospital, including 4 in intensive care.
Only one death was recorded, bringing to 1 873 the number of patients who have died in hospital since 1is March, while 8 933 hospitalized patients have been able to return to their homes since that date.
