The port village of Lillo is facing radical changes: “Here time has stopped” (Berendrecht-Zandvliet-Lillo)

The port village of Lillo is facing major changes. The Aquafin will renovate the sewers there, but after these works the village itself will also be redeveloped. The old port will disappear in 2024, to make way for a defense system higher than the Scheldt here too. And from now on, visitors will have to park outside the ramparts and the polder village itself, on the Scheldelaan.
