The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet patch confirms that Nintendo takes technical issues seriously

The first post-release patch for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet comes with Nintendo promising to take the games’ glitches seriously.

The patch notes have been released Nintendo site For Pokémon Scarlet and Violet version 1.1.0, the music that stopped during Elite Four and Top Champion battles has been fixed, along with a vague confirmation that “other specific bug fixes have been made.” The now available update also kicks off the first season of Ranked Battles.

Nintendo pledged to improve the world’s first open-world Pokemon games and apologized for the many issues with the release versions.

“We understand that players may experience issues that impact game performance,” Nintendo said. “Our goal is to always provide players with a positive experience in our games and we apologize for any inconvenience. We take player feedback seriously and work to improve the games.”

However, it was not said when these updates would arrive, but this first patch was released within two weeks of the game’s launch and exactly three weeks after the “Day 1 Patch” was released for those with the first few copies. If Nintendo sticks to a similar trend, it could be mid to late December before we see another update for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Among the issues identified so far are a broken PvE experience at the end of the game, a rigged battlefield, duplicate bugs, a strange double-speed mode, and more.

Poor performance was a big factor in our 6/10 review, as IGN put it: “Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is a great direction for the future of the open-world game franchise, but this promising turnaround is undermined by many.” some ways Scarlet and Violet feel very incomplete.”
