Canned food, bloody chicken, zero points: Manuela wins “The Perfect Dinner” in Leipzig

By Nico Zeißler

Leipzig – “The perfect dinner” from Leipzig has found a worthy winner: the bank clerk Manuela (45) was able to look forward to the maximum number of points and a prize of 3,000 euros. Candidate Agustin (37) was a wrong penny for the amateur cook.

Agustin (37) started the cooking week with a tuna casserole with shrimp and white rice.

Manuela (45) wanted to know whether the tuna was fresh or canned. The native Ecuadorian stated that he used canned tuna soaked in water, as fresher can become rock-hard if cooked for too long.

“If someone serves tuna, it should definitely be fresh,” said Manuela. “Due to the consistency, I could already imagine that it was out of the can. The perfect dinner requires that you prepare the components yourself.”

Anne (31) also saw it this way: “I don’t know whether a canned tuna would have been my choice for the perfect dinner.”

The extravagant fashion designer received 28 out of 40 possible points at the start.

Anne’s soy maize chickens also had to be nagged on Tuesday. Agustin cut into a bloody bone and immediately stopped eating; Marcus also had bones and splinters in the poultry.

For the time being, the native Freiberg grabbed the lead with 31 points.

Christian (34) was on the mountain festival, served Far Eastern delicacies on Wednesday. Among other things, the homemade hummus was convincing. “It tasted a lot better than you can buy it in any supermarket,” said Manuela, ennobling the ice hockey fan.

“I had a trip on my plates. The food tasted like being in these countries. He did a great job,” said Agustin, who with 33 points scored the first ten points of the week catapulted.

Computer scientist Marcus (37) caused a laugh on Thursday with a liquid faux pas. He accidentally poured starch, which should be mixed with water in the roulade pot to thicken, over his blue jeans.

A large white spot appeared – to the horror of Agustin: “That was all white and damp and weird, it made us lose our appetite a bit.”

His behavior that evening bothered Anne in particular: “I think that Agustin doesn’t judge fairly. He definitely plays a role for me and pulls off a show, wants to play himself in the foreground. He doesn’t fit into our group – like that is not Leipzig, “rumbled the 31-year-old.

Agustin’s rating was also unfair, he actually gave Marcus 0 points because of the “chaotic evening”which dropped him to last place at 23.

Manuela (45) was completely enthusiastic at the end of the week. The Markkleeberger woman won over her opponents with a coq au vin, Anne thought “every dish tonight was perfect”, Christian confirmed that you couldn’t have done it better as an amateur cook.

The bank clerk was consequently able to achieve the maximum number of points of 40 and win the Leipzig Week and 3000 euros: “I’m overwhelmed!”

The whole week of “The Perfect Dinner” from the trade fair city is available on demand at TVNOW. From Monday (always 7 p.m. / VOX) it continues in Mannheim.
