The first meeting of European Council or European Union leaders since the discovery of a new version of the coronavirus omicron took place yesterday, and it began to spread rapidly on the old continent. The initial tools used by countries to combat this type are inconsistent. For example, Italy, Greece and Ireland have introduced mandatory tests even for vaccinated travelers, which other countries have been amazed at.

France, meanwhile, has banned non-essential travel to the former bloc’s UK, which is spreading particularly fast this weekend.
