The Olite Theater Festival opens call for two artistic residencies until April 30

The Olite Theater Festival keeps open Until April 30, the deadline for Navarran theater companies to present proposals for the two work residences of their next edition, which will take place between July 15 and 31, 2022.

Projects related to any aspect of artistic creation in the performing arts may attend these research laboratories. It will be valued that they include an educational section or a mediation program with the public and that it includes a presentation of the work carried out in the format that the company prefers, within the program of the Olite 2022 Theater Festival.

The quality and adaptation of the project to the object, purpose and scope of the call will also be assessed; the suitability of the artistic and technical team; the originality of the project and feasibility for its future staging; and the possibility of future production and projection in other spaces of the Autonomous Community in the next season.

The residences will take place between July 15 and 31both inclusive, and one will be held in Olite and another in the town of Beire, also the venue for the festival.
The residences will have a maximum endowment of 6,000 euros eachprovided by the General Directorate of Culture – Príncipe de Viana Institution.

The call is open to authors or professional performing arts companies from Navarra. Regardless of their legal form, in any case they must carry out their activity and have their neighborhood or domicile in Navarra.

The selection of the projects will be carried out through a commission chaired by the artistic directors of the Festival (María Goiricelaya and Ane Pikaza) and made up of the director of the Cultural Action Service of the Government of Navarra, Lorenzo García; the head of the Artistic Programs and Diffusion Section, Marisol Martínez; as well as two experts of recognized prestige in the field of the performing arts of the Foral Community and a secretariat in charge of a technician from the Cultural Action Service.
