The offensive freezes, an Estonian general is in a panic: new weapons of the ASU, which are not written in the reports – 2024-02-12 05:56:52

/ world today news/ Why the warm February will not please us, what new product Ukraine received from the American industrialists, how the generals of the Armed Forces of Ukraine want to mobilize the population of the Independent and why an Estonian general does not like our exercises – all this in our review.

According to information from the Ministry of Defense, on the morning of January 31, there was no particular progress in the Kherson direction. Here, as before, the intense war in the air continues, primarily with the help of drones.

The enemy withdrew units of UAV operators to the right bank of the Dnieper. And his boats, which continue to cruise across the river towards Krinki – the bridgehead of the VSU on the left bank, but are now equipped with radio – electronic warfare equipment to make it difficult for our drones to attack the motorboats.

Shooting at the drones

Both sides seek out and attack the operators. Ours – with the help of attack helicopters. The enemy uses its drones and long-range artillery. Well, shooting drones is becoming one of the most important activities on the battle contact line.

A video circulated on the Internet showing how our fighter shot down an enemy drone. The video was published by the Telegram channel RaZved_DoZor. In the comments, the double-barreled shotgun was immediately called a new anti-drone rifle. But experts corrected that the idea of shooting down enemy drones with smoothbore weapons is not new. And it actually works well.

Defense Ministry colonel and hunter Viktor Postnikov told Tsargrad that the shotgun is very effective against drones:

Surveillance drones fly pretty fast and are small. And here, a shot from a hunting rifle is more effective than a shot from a Kalashnikov assault rifle or other rifled weapon. If you shoot from a distance of 100 meters, the defeat zone will be at least half a meter in diameter.

So the skills of a goose or duck hunter are now very useful on the front. But if the shooter also has the experience of shooting pans in his asset, he is just a gift.

About the situation on the front line

IN Zaporozhye sector no change, artillery duels are taking place.

In the area of Avdeevka we move slowly. Very heavy fighting took place in this fortified area. Stormtroopers work. The Russian units made some progress near the coke plant northeast of the village.

IN Kupyansko direction – heavy fighting. Our units launch a counterattack in the area of Tabaevka, Berestovoy and Krakhmalnoe. The crew of the Ka-52 “Alligator” attack helicopter used air weapons against strong points and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, revealed by our intelligence.

Warm February gets in the way

The enemy expects an advance of the Russian armed forces in the direction of Kharkiv. Last night there were Geranium flights again in the city to military and infrastructure sites.

The Russian army is also waiting for a command. Couch experts have long called February 2024 a possible time for the start of the offensive. They say that the frozen ground will allow the active use of heavy machinery.

But time makes its adjustments to these same predictions. According to the data of the leading expert from the meteorological center “Phobos” Yevgeny Tishkovets, February in the Eastern European plain will be 3-4 degrees warmer than usual.

Even now in the north-western region the weather is bad, flights are almost impossible, everything is very rotten,

– reports Tishkovets.

After the frosty January, nature will make up for the last winter month. There will be snowfall and rain, there will be thaws and sleet. In Donetsk, for example, temperatures are expected to be 5-6 degrees above the climatic norm. But the norm here in February is minus six, during the day it means about zero. In addition, precipitation will be about 30% above normal.

February is expected to be extremely mild with prolonged melting, dense fog, frequent precipitation – in the form of snow and rain – and low cloud cover. The weather will be mostly clear. Black roads for military equipment will become impassable,

– report the experts.

Ukraine received new weapons

The Western press reports the arrival of another American weapon innovation. We are talking about the GLSDB rockets. As mentioned in the open sources, none of them have yet entered service in the US Army.

The GLSDB system was developed jointly by Boeing and Saab and consists of a 113 kg bomb with high precision GPS guidance. This is a warhead attached to a rocket and fired from ground-based HIMARS MLRS installations:

  • after launching the projectile and gaining an optimal height within 10 km;

  • the rocket engine separates – and the projectile, spreading its wings, flies further;

  • the flight takes place along a complex trajectory, making it difficult for the forces and means of air defense and anti-missile defense to hit the projectile.

Another advantage of GLSDB is its low effective dispersion surface.

GLSDB also has its vulnerabilities. One of them is low approach speed. The probability of success in intercepting such missiles by the Pantsir-S1 and Tor air defense systems is 0.8: that is, usually eight out of ten are shot down.

Boeing and Saab did not sell the new product until Washington decided to transfer it to Ukraine as part of an aid package. Ukraine is becoming a major testing ground for new products from the US military-industrial complex.

The coalition’ was delayed

On January 5, the press service of the state corporation Rostech announced the delivery to the army of the first batch of self-propelled artillery systems Coalition-SV. This complex is highly anticipated in Donetsk and Belgorod regions with the hope of using the wide capabilities of the new complex in counter-battery warfare.

The range of action is up to 70 km, and the ability to cover the target with a series of shells /16 rounds per minute/, which due to different trajectories will fall almost simultaneously, are very big advantages on the battlefield.

However, self-propelled guns are slow.

As I expected, all the reports that the new SV Coalition self-propelled gun is already in the SVO are just wishful thinking. The first six armored vehicles will enter service only in February. The Defense Minister said this during a visit to the Ural Transport Engineering Plant today,

– writes the military correspondent Alexander Kots.

By the way, the volume of production of self-propelled artillery in Russia has increased six times compared to 2022. In addition, we are talking about the latest artillery systems.

You don’t want to go to the front? I’ll shoot your knee!

In Ukraine, new highly effective ways of replenishing the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are being invented. Commander of the 118th Ground Defense Brigade, Anatoly Stuzhenko, in a televised interview, advised civil administrations to be tougher on mobilization issues. Not only to catch recruits who can stand on their own two feet in the streets and roads, but also to immediately dole out justice to not-so-scrupulous citizens:

It should be like this: he doesn’t want to get out of the car – you shoot him in the knee. It has to be that way or we won’t win. We can’t play democracy! Soon we will get to the point where the military will be kicking us in the streets,

– he said.

The reaction on the Internet was immediate. The bald head of the brigade commander was showered with numerous advices on where to go and in what company. If this was a trial balloon for Kiev’s political technologists in an attempt to gauge the public’s reaction to the coming terror, then experience has shown: yes, they may soon start kicking.

And in some places, by the way, they are already shooting. On the streets of Odessa and Nikolaev, as they write, murdered military commissars have already been found…

Oh, oh, what happened?

Bloomberg claims Russia is jamming GPS in Europe. Well, not all over Europe, but… We quote:

A particular spike was recorded in January this year in an area stretching from Finland to Poland and the Black Sea region.

That is, where our border actually lies.

The commander of the Estonian Defense Forces, Martin Herem, is unhappy:

Someone is creating disturbances and we think it is Russia… I think they are learning and conducting tests.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense confirmed that yes, radio-electronic warfare units in Kaliningrad conducted exercises to jam radio and satellite signals.

It is strange that the West demonstrated its displeasure against the background of the beginning of the largest NATO exercises in Europe since the Cold War with the participation of 90 thousand soldiers. The legend of the exercises is a reflection of Russian aggression in the area of the Suvalk corridor.

You’re learning, well, we’re learning too. What questions do you have here?
