The number of insolvency proceedings of legal entities has decreased by 34.1% in eight months

At the same time, the number of insolvency proceedings initiated by natural persons in the eight months of this year was 656, which is 10.8% more than a year earlier.

The sectors in which the most insolvencies have been initiated in the first eight months of 2021 are retail trade, catering services, wholesale trade, construction of buildings and specialized construction works.

Analyzing the data of companies that have been declared insolvent this year, Lursoft concludes that 18 of them have already been liquidated, but eight more have been liquidated, while 43% have registered collateral. As noted in the company, the liquidation process was initially initiated for some companies and only then insolvency was initiated.

At the same time, the information gathered by Lursoft shows that almost 50% of all companies that have been declared insolvent this year have not submitted a report for 2020, and another 43% of companies’ turnover has fallen last year, in some cases companies have been growing last year. In total, 92% of all companies that have been declared insolvent this year and have submitted reports for 2020 have worked with losses last year.

Lursoft has studied that the average age of companies that have been declared insolvent this year is seven years, but companies registered only less than a year ago are also among the insolvents. In total, among the insolvent companies there are three companies registered last year, for which tax debts exceeding 150 euros have been registered.

Also, 23 companies received state aid before the commencement of insolvency proceedings.
