The number of deaths in the world from the new coronavirus disease, Covid-19, has exceeded half a million, according to official sources from the Associated Press (AP).
It has already been reported that the number of people infected with Covid-19 on Sunday exceeded ten million worldwide. Recent data show that the infection has been confirmed in more than 10.2 million people.
However, the agency’s data from statistics provided by governments and the World Health Organization (WHO) appear to reflect only a fraction of the true number of people infected, as in many countries analyzes are performed only in the most severe cases.
